Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting on Monday 7 October 2013

2 Minutes of previous meeting 2 September 2013: Examined and approved.
3 Matters arising
A councillor will attend the planning committee meeting for the Conifers 13/02186/FUL
Pothole audit done – detailed response from the Highways Department – Mr Stripp will raise the matter at the joint County/Parish council meeting
Biddlestone quarry liaison group – the sales have reduced and if the sales continue to be low the life of the quarry will be longer. The company plans to apply for planning permission to dig deeper in March or April next year. Restoration will be an issue if trees are removed.
4 Finance
Half-year precept of £490 received, bank balance £1604.71
5 Planning
Mast at Follions appeal ref 2204271. Clerk to prepare a first draft letter and send it to Mr Kenny for finalising.
Holystone Lodge change of use ref 13/02879/COU: Clerk to write a short letter on behalf of residents of the parish that are affected raising issues of light pollution, noise and road safety.
Orangery at The Peels ref 13/02867/FUL Clerk to send an email saying no objection in principle and will defer to the listed building officer’s decision on the design.
Conservatory at Ovenstone ref 13NP0088 Clerk to send an email saying the council has no objection
6 Correspondence
The council will make a donation of £55 to the Air Ambulance
Mr Stripp will attend the joint county and parish councils meeting in Alnwick on October 14th
7 Any other business
The clerk will investigate the cost of special dog waste bins.
The terms and conditions relating to the provision of a free defibrillator were not considered to be acceptable.
